ARABIC VEGETABLE SOUP

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 3 pcs (chopped)
  • Onion – ½ pc (chopped)
  • Carrots – 4 pcs (diced)
  • Garlic – 1 clove (finely chopped)
  • Celery stalk – 1 pc (chopped)
  • Fresh parsley – ¼ multi cup (finely chopped)
  • Fresh (or canned) string beans – ½ multi cup
  • Sweet corn – ½ multi cup
  • Black pepper – ¼ tsp
  • Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
  • Ginger powder – ⅛ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – 4 multi cups
  • Tomato sauce – 3 multi cups
  • Tomato paste – 1 packet (8oz.)

Directions

Prepare the multicooker bowl. Press the “Menu” button, select the “Soup” program and press the “Start” button. Combine water, tomato sauce and paste. Stir well to make a good soup base. After 5 minutes add water or more tomato sauce as desired. Then add vegetables and spices. Simmer for 30-35 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stop the multicooker by pressing the “Cancel” button.

Serve with pita bread or crackers.
