CHICKEN CURRY

Ingredients

  • Chicken legs and wings – 500 g
  • Carrots – 2 pcs
  • Potato – 3-4 pcs
  • Ginger – 200 g (finely chopped)
  • Red onion (big) – 2 pcs
  • Curry leaves – 10 pcs
  • Coriander fresh – 150 g
  • Hale/cardamom – 5 pcs
  • Bay leaves – 4-5 pcs
  • Curry powder – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Paprika powder – ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black pepper – ¼ tsp
  • White pepper – ¼ tsp
  • Chicken stock powder – 1 tsp
  • Corn flour – 10 g
  • Water – 4 multi cups
  • Coconut Milk – optional
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Oil – 15 ml

Directions

Put oil into the multicooker bowl. Press the “Menu” button, select the “Stew” program and press the “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3-5 minutes. Then put in the garlic, red onion, ginger, bay leaves and hale, sauté, add the chicken wings and legs, sauté for 3-5 minutes, put the curry powder, turmeric powder, paprika powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, white pepper and chicken stock powder. Sauté for 2 minutes, add 3 measuring cups of water, close the lid for 10 minutes. After that open the lid, put potato and carrots, mix, close the lid and cook for another 15-20 minutes. Open the lid, put 1 measuring cup of water mixed with corn flour and fresh coriander, mix and cook 3 more minutes with the lid closed.

Put oil into multicooker bowl, press “Menu” button to select “Multicooker” program. Adjust the cooking temperature to 130°C and cooking time to 1 hour. Press “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3-5 minutes, put the garlic, red onion, ginger, bay leaves and hale, sauté, add the chicken wings and legs, sauté for 3-5 minutes, put the curry powder, turmeric powder, paprika powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, white pepper and chicken stock powder, sauté for 5-10 minutes, add 3 measuring cups of water, close the lid for 10-15 minutes. After that open the lid, put potato and carrots, mix, close the lid and cook for another 15-20 minutes. Open the lid, put 1 measuring cup of water mixed with corn flour and fresh coriander, mix and cook for 3 more minutes with closed lid.

Put oil into multicooker bowl, select the “Stew” program. By pressing the “Product” button go to the “Poultry” section. Adjust the cooking temperature to 130ºC. Press and hold “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, put the garlic, red onion, ginger, bay leaves and hale, sauté, add the chicken wings and legs, sauté for 10 minutes, put the curry powder, turmeric powder, paprika powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, white pepper and chicken stock powder, sauté for 2 minutes, add 3 measuring cups of water, close the lid for 10 minutes, after that change cooking temperature to 100ºC and let it cook for 20 minutes. Open the lid, put potato and carrots, mix, close the lid and cook for another 12 minutes. Then open the lid, put 1 measuring cup of water mixed with corn flour and fresh coriander, mix and cook for 3 minutes more with closed lid.
