BEEF MUSTARD

Ingredients

  • Beef* – 600 g (cut coarsely)
  • Potato – 400 g (diced)
  • Onion (medium) – 2 pcs (cut coarsely)
  • Carrots – 300 g (slice thick)
  • Garlic – 3 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Flour – 1 and ½  tbsp
  • Tomato paste – 3 tbsp
  • Mustard – 2 tbsp
  • Chicken stock powder – 3 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick – 1 stick
  • Black pepper – ½  tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – 3 multi cups
  • Oil – 15ml

Directions

Option: can be served with vermicelli rice as side dish.

Pour oil into the multicooker bowl. Press the “Menu” button, select the “Stew” program and press the “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, then put onion, garlic, flour and meat, sauté everything for 5 minutes. Then add 3 measuring cups of water, tomato paste, mustard, salt, black pepper, cinnamon stick, and chicken stock, mix it and close the lid, wait until the meat is tender or cook for 10 minutes. As time passes, put in the potato, carrots mix it, close the lid and cook for 10-20 minutes. Then open the lid, mix and let it cook 2 minutes more. Then press the “Cancel” button.

 *In the recipe you may use any type of meat, which fits your likes or diet. According to preferred meat type adjust the cooking time.

Put oil in multicooker bowl, press “Menu” button to select “Multicooker” program. Adjust the cooking temperature to 130°C and cooking time to 1 hour, press “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, then put onion, garlic, flour and meat, sauté everything for 10 minutes. Then add 3 measuring cups of water, tomato paste, mustard, salt, black pepper, cinnamon stick, and chicken stock, mix it and close the lid, wait until the meat is tender or cook for 20-25 minutes, as time passes put the potato, carrots mix it, close the lid and cook for 20 minutes more. After 20 minutes open the lid, mix and let it cook for 2 minutes more. Press “Cancel” button.

Put oil in the multicooker bowl, select the “Stew” program. By pressing the “Product” button go to the “Meat” section. Press and hold “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, then put onion, garlic, flour and meat, sauté everything for 10 minutes. Then add 3 measuring cups of water, tomato paste, mustard, salt, black pepper, cinnamon stick, and chicken stock, mix and close the lid, wait until the meat is tender or cook for 30 minutes. Then put the potato, carrots, mix, close the lid and cook for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes open the lid, mix and let it cook for 2 minutes more. Press and hold “Cancel” button.
