LAMB WITH ZUCCHINIS AND CHICKPEAS

Ingredients

  • Lamb with bones* – 600 g (cut into medium size pieces)
  • Garlic – 4-5 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Red onions (medium) – 2 pcs (chopped)
  • Cayenne powders – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Tomato paste – 2 tsp
  • Black pepper – ½ tsp
  • Chicken stock powder – 1 tsp
  • Chickpeas in can – 1 multi cup
  • Zucchinis – 2-3 pcs (cut into large cubes)
  • Water – 4 multi cups
  • Oil – 3 tbsp

Directions

Pour oil into the multicooker bowl. Press the “Menu” button, select the “Stew” program and press the “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, put chopped onion, meat, cloves, sauté until the meat is brown (approximately 5-10 minutes). Then add tomato paste, cayenne powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, chicken stock powder, sauté for 2 minutes, pour 4 measuring cups of water, close the lid and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Then open the lid and add the chickpeas and zucchinis, close the lid and cook for 5-10 minutes. As time passes, open the lid, mix and cook 2 more minutes with the lid closed. Press the “Cancel” button.

*In the recipe you may use any type of meat, which fits your likes or diet. According to preferred meat type adjust the cooking time.

Put oil in the multicooker bowl, press “Menu” button to select “Multicooker” program. Adjust the cooking temperature to 130°C and cooking time to 1 hour.  Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, put chopped onion, garlic, meat, sauté until the meat is brown (approximately 10 minutes), then add tomato paste, cayenne powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, chicken stock powder, sauté for 2 minutes, pour the 4 measuring cups of water, close the lid and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Then open the lid and add the chickpeas and zucchinis, close the lid and cook for 10-15 minutes. As time passes, open the lid, mix and cook for 2 minutes more with closed lid. Press “Cancel” button.

Put oil in the multicooker bowl, select the “Stew” program. By pressing the “Product” button go to the “Meat” section. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, put chopped onion, garlic, lamb cubes, sauté until the meat is brown (approximately 10 minutes), add the tomato paste, cayenne powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, chicken stock powder, sauté for 2 minutes, pour 4 measuring cups of water and close the lid. Let it simmer for 35 minutes. Open the lid and add the chickpeas, zucchinis, close the lid and cook for 10 minutes more. Press and hold “Cancel” button.
