CHICKEN BIRYANI

Ingredients

  • Chicken legs – 4-6 pcs
  • Basmati rice – 500 g
  • Tomato – 3 pcs (chop)
  • Ginger – 100 g (chop)
  • Hale, bay leaves – 5 pcs each
  • Cloves – 6 pcs
  • Red onions – 400 g (chop)
  • Cinnamon stick – 4 pcs
  • Green chili – 3 pcs (chop)
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves (chop)
  • Salt, black and white pepper – to taste
  • Chicken stock – 1 pc
  • Biryani powder – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder, paprika powder – 1 tsp each
  • Turmeric powder – 1-2 pinches
  • Water – 6 multi cups
  • Corn oil – 3 tbsp

Directions

Before cooking soak the rice in water for some time.

Pour corn oil into the multicooker bowl. Press the “Menu” button, select the “Grain” program and press the “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes. Then  put tomato, garlic, onion, ginger, green chili, bay leaves, cloves and hale, sauté a little, add the chicken legs, sauté for 8 minutes. Put in the biryani powder, turmeric powder, paprika powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, white pepper, and chicken stock powder, sauté for 2 minutes, add 6 measuring cups of water, close the lid. After 15 minutes add drained rice, restart the “Grain” program, cook until the end of the program with closed lid. Press the “Cancel” button. Wait for 4 minutes, then serve.

Put corn oil into multicooker bowl, press “Menu” button and select the “Multicooker” program. Adjust the cooking temperature to 130°C and cooking time to 1 hour. Press “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, put tomato, garlic, onion, ginger, green chili, bay leaves, cloves and hale, sauté a little, add the chicken legs, sauté for 10 minutes, put the biryani powder, turmeric powder, paprika powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, white pepper, and chicken stock powder, sauté for 2 minutes, add 6 measuring cups of water, close the lid. After 15 minutes add drained rice, cook for 30 minutes with closed lid. Press “Cancel” button.

Put corn oil into multicooker bowl, select the “Boil” program. By pressing the “Product” button go to the “Poultry” section. Press and hold “Start” button.  Adjust the cooking temperature to 130ºC. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes, put tomato, garlic, onion, ginger, green chili, bay leaves, cloves and hale, sauté a little, add the chicken legs, sauté for 10 minutes. Put the biryani powder, turmeric powder, paprika powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, white pepper and chicken stock powder, sauté for 2 minutes, add 6 cup of water close the lid. After 15 minutes press and hold “Cancel” button to stop the multicooker, add drained rice. Select “Grain” program. Press and hold “Start” button. Cook until the end of the program with closed lid.
