Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil – 1 and ½ tbsp
  • Meat* (beef) – 350 g (sliced)
  • Onion (small) – 1 pc (diced)
  • Ginger 
 – 1 tsp (minced)
  • Garlic – 4 cloves (minced)
  • Potatoes – 2 pcs (cut into cubes)
  • Carrots – 4 pcs (cut into cubes)
  • Jalapeno pepper – 1 pc (deseeded and sliced)
  • Unsalted cashews 
 – 3 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce – 1 can (4 oz.)
  • Salt 
 – 2 tsp
  • Curry powder – 1 and ½ tsp
  • Frozen green peas – 1 multi cup
  • Green bell pepper – ½ pc (chopped)
  • Red bell pepper – ½ pc (chopped)
  • Heavy cream 
 – 1 multi cup
  • Fresh cilantro – 1 bunch (for garnishing)

Directions

Pour oil into the multicooker bowl. Press the “Menu” button, select the “Stew” program and press the “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3-5 minutes. Put onion, ginger, garlic, meat and continue to cook for 10-15 minutes. Mix potatoes, carrots, jalapeno, ground cashews and tomato sauce. Season with salt and curry powder. Stir-fry for 3 minutes, close the lid and let it cook for another 5-10 minutes or until meat is tender. Add peas, green bell pepper, red bell pepper and cream to the multicooker bowl, stir and cook for 10-15 minutes with the lid closed. Garnish with cilantro.

*In the recipe you may use any type of meat, which fits your likes or diet. According to preferred meat type adjust the cooking time.
This dish can be cooked without meat as well.

Put oil in the multicooker bowl, press “Menu” button to select “Multicooker” program. Adjust the cooking temperature to 130°C and cooking time to 1 hour. Press “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3-5 minutes. Put onion, ginger, garlic, meat and continue cooking for 15-20 minutes. Mix potatoes, carrots, jalapeno, ground cashews and tomato sauce. Season with salt and curry powder. Cook and stir frequently for 20-25 minutes or until meat is tender. Add peas, green bell pepper, red bell pepper and cream into the multicooker bowl, stir and cook for 10-15 minutes with closed lid. Garnish with cilantro.

This dish can be cooked without meat as well.

Put oil in the multicooker bowl, select the “Stew” program. By pressing the “Product” button go to the “Meat” section. Press and hold “Start” button. Let the bowl heat for 3 minutes. Put onion, ginger, garlic, meat, mix and fry for 2-4 minutes. Add potatoes, carrots, jalapeno, ground cashews, tomato sauce and mix. Season with salt and curry powder. Keep stirring and cook for 2 minutes with open lid. Then close the lid and cook for 8 minutes or until the meat is tender. Then add peas, green bell pepper, red bell pepper and cream into the multicooker bowl, stir and cook for 10 minutes with closed lid. Press and hold “Start” button. Garnish with cilantro.
