MALVA PUDDING

Ingredients

  • Castor sugar – 250 ml
  • Free-range egg  – 2 pcs
  • Apricot jam  – 1 tbsp
  • Cake flour  – 175 g
  • Bicarbonate of soda – 2 tsp
  • Butter  – 2 tbsp
  • Vinegar  – 1 tbsp
  • Milk – 125 ml
  • Fresh Ayrshire cream – 250 ml
  • Butter  – 115 g
  • White sugar – 100 g (plus extra for sprinkling in ramekins)
  • Water or orange juice  – 125 g
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

Beat the sugar and eggs until fluffy, and then beat in the jam until creamy.

Sift the caster sugar, cake flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a separate bowl.

Melt the butter in MultiCooker bowl and add the vinegar and milk.

Add the mixed dry ingredients to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk mixture, mixing until well combined.

Spray the MC-bowl with cook & spray. Pour in the mix. Press the “Menu” button, select the “Bake” program and set the cooking time to 35 minutes. By pressing “Time” button and adjust the “Minutes” .Let it cooks until the end of the program.

To make the sauce:

Melt the butter in the MC-bowl. Press the “Menu” button; select the “Fry” program. And mix it with cream, 100 g of sugar, water or orange juice and pour over the pudding when it’s cooked. Press cancel button.

Add the mixed dry ingredients to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk mixture, mixing until well combined.

Spray the multicooker bowl with cook & spray. Pour in the mix. Press the “Menu” button, select the “Cake” program and set the cooking time to 35 minutes. Let it cook until the end of the program.

To make the sauce:

Melt the butter and mix it with cream, 100 g of sugar, brandy, water or orange juice and pour over the pudding when it’s cooked.
