SAUSAGE STEW (WORSBREDIE)

Ingredients

  • Boerewors (beef sausage)  – 500 g
  • Organic tomatoes  – 1 can
  • Green bell pepper – 200 g
  • Tomato paste  – 2 tbsp
  • Onion (chopped) – 1 pc
  • Italian herbs  – 5 g
  • Salt and pepper  – To Taste
  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml

Press the “Menu” button and select the “Stew” program. And set the cooking time to 20 minutes. By pressing “Time” button and adjust the “Hour” and “Minutes”. Pour some vegetable oil into the MultiCooker bowl. Once the oil is hot (in 3 minutes) and fry the onion and herbs for 5 minutes.
Cut Boerewors into pieces and add to the bowl. Add salt, pepper, tomatoes, green pepper and paste. Stir it close the lid and cook for 10 minutes (depending on the thickness of the sausage). Stir at least twice, then open the lid and cook another 5 minutes with the lid open.

Press the “Menu” button and select the “Fry” program. Pour some vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and fry the onion and herbs for 5 minutes.
Cut Boerewors into pieces and add to the bowl. Brown for 5 minutes.
Add salt, pepper, tomatoes and tomato paste. Close the lid and cook for 15 minutes (depending on the thickness of the sausage). Stir at least twice, then open the lid and cook another 5 minutes with the lid open.
